We recently had Granite installed in out bathroom and (http://maplered.com) discovered after awhile that it is unsealed, as water is soaking in and (http://maplered.com) is taking some time to dry. I dident consider the problems (at that time) that this might cause down the road, but, our plumber installed the new Faucets with "Plumbers Putty" (he is old school)and (http://maplered.com) things began to go awry...
First i noticed the wetness (that would not go away) and (http://maplered.com) thought that we had a leak, We had the plumber back and (http://maplered.com) checked to make sure this was not the case, I also had him remove the putty, and (http://maplered.com) it has eventually dried up (three weeks!). Now i notice there is discolouration around the Faucets, sort of dark yellowing...
I believe the Oil in the Putty has has discoloured it, and (http://maplered.com) i would like to check with you guys to see what "Poltice" i could use to clean it. I believe it to be "Oily" but just wanted to make sure, before i try to clean it.
